How Long to Create a "How To" Book or Info-Product?

Dear Friend,

When you hear most "writers" or wannabe writers talk about their "craft" - so many of them are in pain.

Ask them, "How long did it take you to write this book?" and you'll hear the agony in their voices.

"This book took siiiiixxxxx years," they'll say, almost as if they should receive a badge of honor for effort.

And indeed, writing a book is an accomplishment. I respect it immensely. I simply prefer to do the job far faster. Not only that, but when I write a book or create any type of info-product, I want to know that it's going to make me money. If it ain't gonna make me no money - I ain't a gonna write it. Plain and simple.

Understand that when you do things the "book store" book way, your chances for making money are slim. If you're a major celeb, star or big-time politician - the bookstore route is a fine way to go. You get huge up front royalites and are positioned to give speeches at $10,000.00 or more a pop.

But let's face facts: Most of us aren't big time celebs to begin with. So putting a major publisher in charge of our work is a mistake.

Why?

Because, first of all, they'll edit the book and destroy the message. They will alter and malign the book to the point that it hardly resembles what you wrote.

Number two, you will NOT get a large up-front royalty. You'll be lucky if you get $1,000.00 up front. Most likely you'll get nothing as you won't be selected as "publishable."

Number three, the royalty you think you're going to receive IF they publish the book amounts to less than a hill a beans. I know many so-called "best-selling" authors who don't have squat.

Number four, if your book doesn't sell immediately, and FAST - it is jerked off the shelves and put out of print. Your hard work and all those royalties you're expecting - well, you can forget them.

Number five, you gave the publishing company your hard work, they ruined it, they didn't help you sell it - and now it's gone and you no longer own the rights to it.

Not a pretty sight at all. Especially if you spent "six yeaaaaarsssss" working on it.

There's got to be a better way. And there is.

When you do things my way, you can have a very, very good idea as to whether your product can and will make money BEFORE you even start writing. You can't know "for sure." Nothing in life is 100% certain. But the chances of success are greatest when you know your market and know what they are already buying.

Then you create the book FAST. I wrote my first book, The Martial Art of Wrestling - in two weeks. That was waaaay too long - and no, I'm not exaggerating.

I wrote Combat Conditioning in a week. That was much better.

And I wrote Gama Fitness - which sells for $197.00 (in 3-ring binder) and $497.00 (3-ring binder with videos) in ONE weekend.

My four-video set on flexibility, called Combat Stretching, was created in ONE day. Price tag: $127.oo

Magnetic Mind Power was created in ONE DAY. Price tag $147.00.

I created a course for Personal Fitness Trainers, teaching them how to make $1,000,000 per year. Shot the videos after midnight, when my boy Frank was sleeping (he was a newborn at the time). Made the audios a couple days later. Had written most of the course when I was still a trainer full time - so added material from what I was currently doing. This took a day. Course now sells for a minimum of $1,000.00.

I have another info-product called The Furey Formula for Making a Fortune With Email that I only sell to people I know and trust - and that product goes for $10,000.00.How can I sell a product for that amount? Simple. Anyone who applies just ONE THING in the course, and I mean that - can earn a veritable fortune.

In fact, I just received an email from a client who told me he applied one thing this past Saturday and he made an easy $22,000.00

In a nutshell, creating a "how to" info product is a whole different animal than writing a book. There are similarities, yes - but the differences in impact on the buyer - as well as the impact on your pocketbook, are MASSIVE.

So let me ask: Would you rather spend six treacherous years proving to yourself that you're a writer, only to go broke in the process - or would you rather create something in a weekend and get rich?

If you're masochistic and big into PAIN - then stay the hell away from me. And don't come to my seminar. It won't do you any good at all.

If, however, you want to learn the fastest way humanly possible to make a ton of money selling "how to" that you, yourself publish - then I can help you and I WILL show you the way.

Information on my seminar is available when you click here.

I'm out of time for today's lesson. Don't even have time to edit the darn thing. Aaaah - how horrible.

Best,

P.S. If you think my seminar sounds "too good to be true" - then please don't come as you and I definitely will not get along. Even if you were to meet several of my students, who are now making fortunes, you'd still come up with a reason why it won't work for you - and frankly, I don't want that negative energy around me. I truly hate that orientation toward life. I lalways look for reasons why something WILL work or HOW I can make it work - and my results speak volumes.

P.P.S. Forgot to mention, when my wife takes the checks our business receives to the bank - the teller never asks, "How long did you husband spend creating his books and info-products?" Funny, huh? She simply cashes the checks the same as she would for someone who worked 'six long years.'
